It’s been a minute.
When last I posted here, it was in a flurry of exuberance and optimism, fueled by the rush of finding representation and with the creative firestorm that followed.
This is a damn tough industry, though, and even the success I’d found wouldn’t last. My agent left the industry, and his peers at the agency declined to take me on in his stead. I don’t blame them; I’m still unproven and unsold.
But if there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s that persistence is really the best asset I have. So here I am, back at it again. I’ve got a freshly completed manuscript ready to submit (one which I took a great deal more time to work on, after learning how haste affected quality with DEVOID). I’m going through my virtual rolodex. I’m loading up on caffeine.
BOUND is the best thing I’ve written yet. And it’s in the genre I’ve wanted to write in since those early days spent dreaming over the fantasy book covers in the local book shop. I’m hopeful it will find a home, and I am genuinely excited to again champion my work.
